Two of my friends bought the 700's and they love them. They seemed to be totally impressed with the Walker Evans shcoks.

i took a 03 440, and put a 600 in it. I was a little worried about the shox, as they were still at race spec, but at 170 dress, this thing is a blast to drive. Walker evans great, nothing can touch them. I dont know if trail riding it you could ever bottom this thing. Im running on the clickers on 2 and its little stiff up front, but i can deal with. If the x2 is anything like the racer, it is smooth through the air as well. i went off alittle funny on a drift yesterday, and landed like it was nothing.

I like my X2 800, with a few exceptions...
No top end, the thing refuses to do over 90. Very fast out of the hole however.
In the rough trails, gotta turn the front shocks up to 5 to keep to keep it from bottoming, maybe even need 6 to totally remove bottoming out. (I only weigh 160lbs)
After I got about 200 miles on the sled, the front track shock broke - the clicker knob froze up, and oil was leaking out the knob assembly. The dealer rebuilt the shock (warranty), but didnt get to ride it yet to see if its fixed.
Handles great, but it is a cold ride when its -10F and colder.

I was talking to a guy with a 700X2 and his only complaint was it has no top end!! Very fast off the line though! I have a 03 600 Pro X but have only had it on the lake so far(105-108mph on the speedo) but that will change this weekend. We got a couple of feet of snow this week!!

Don't have a Pro X but I did install the Walker Evans shocks on the front of my 700 SKS. WOW! What an awesome ride in the bumps. Got last years models with no clickers. It makes sense that the top shocks in off road/desert racing would be fantastic on sleds.

I have an 03 pro-x 700,love the sled.it has the ryde fx shocks.I had it in to the dealer and they had it out against the head mechanic's pro-x 2 700 and they said the pro-x 2 ride was actually a lot softer.you could never bottom out this 03.I have the clickers set at 2 on the back and 3 on the front trying to soften it up a bit.One thing I do know is my 03 took the 04 buy about 3 sled lengths in the 1/8th mile.I actually wish my sled was a little softer riding .but besides that I have 2500 trouble free miles.and i'd buy another in a second

I changed my mind on my proX2 800, i hit 105 on the speedo going across the lake today :D
Seems like everything is working perfectly now, dealer got the shock all fixed, no leakage yet, and clicker works.

Just tried out my 04 700. Awesome ride, can ride it as hard as my 440 snopros. NO TOP END. After 350 miles only sees 80-85. Same out of the hole as rev 800's and 700 Yama's. Kind of disappointed about that, but haven't jetted or clutched at all. Motor doesn't seem to pull hard over 50 or so. Any thoughts?

The pro-x chassis sleds are slower because polaris had to put a dent in the pipe were it goes over the shock tower.as you will see the shock tower is a lot higher on the pro than on the xc .the dent in the pipe has decreased hp significantly compared to the xc.I believe this is only on the 700 and 800's.hot seat makes a pipe to replace the factory without the dent, and others may also but this is the one I know of for sure.changing the pipe on the pro 700 and 800 I have been told makes an amazing improvement in hp and speed.I have also been told the pro-x is geared lower than an xc more for snow cross also contributing to the lower top end but should be faster than an xc from bottom end to mid range.if you happen to get a chance to compare a pro-x pipe to an xc pipe on a 700 or 800 you will see what I mean!I have been told polaris didn't take the time or have the time or just plain didn't care to develope a new pipe just for the pro-x chassis 700 and 800.instead they just put in the dent.figures hugh! :dazed:
