I got to take a look at the early release T660 Turbo SS i think thats what its called anyway. Nice looking sled kinda. Hood weighs a ton it looks like its got an extra piece of plastic on it. Nice fit in finish seat looks different in a good way. Overall not really enough there to make it worth it. Kinda sporty look is about all that sets it apart from the standard turbo unless there is a difference in actually HP. Anyone else see one what you think.

I haven't seen one in person but do like the looks and idea of it. Maybe it'll be a different opinion once I see it in person  . I dont think they come with any more power just a more aggresive package, though the Turbo is no slouch  . Be nice though if they came in a different color besides just red, like a black or green (cat colors). Wouldn't mind having one in my garage, next to a 2-stroke of course, IMO they would make a perfect trail machine.

Yah, perfect trail sled. Good on gas that's for sure... oil change once a year (or for the blondes in the group... 710)lol
I would consider one... if it wasn't for riding a REV for a weekend!! DOH!
Sort of hard of compare sleds now. lol

Heres a photo shop one that a member did on another forum...looks bettre then the red and white. The money you save on fuel, oil and would quickly add up. Last night I burnt 1/4 tank and my stepdads Turbo touring never went down a bar, also found out today there is a recall to fix an inaccurate fuel gauge

Not that I am ever gonna buy one, but nice sled, is it only a one seater or will they have the touring set up as well?

They already have a touring setup with the turbo, my stepdad had his out for the first time lsat night and its by far the most comfortable sled. They also have a 'trail' version of it with a single seat and just regular bars and ZL like suspension. The ST will be more like the ZR.

PhatCat800 I definetly like that black and green setup. I would love to take it for a ride dealer is still considering using it as a demo test ride sled if he doesn't get any takers on it after awhile. Your right comparing it to a zr style 4 stroke. The suspension setup is more like the zrs. I bet that thing would corner awesome on the trail. Its a step in the right direction I have to say and hope it works out for AC and they keep inmproving on there 4stroke technology.

Yeah the black and green looks alot better but just imagine it in black with silver strips...sharp. I'm going to find a program to edit the pictures and will see what I can come up with. I would love to try thr ST out. I put some time on the touring but didn't care much for it, due to it being a 2-up sled, etc. The the power is surprisinly good and it has awsome torque. I would love to see Cat and the other manufactures other put some good technology into the 4-strokes, especially in the weight department. IMO thats there biggest downfall but other then that they are great sleds for the trails and Cat has a good lineup of suzuki street bike engines too

I had a look at one at the snowcross races in Barrie on the weekend. A very plain, but smooth looking machine. They were ripping around on it and it is amazing how quite it is. Maybe they should have a race class for turbo sleds?

:p
