http://www.absolutesnowmobileparts.com/sledparts2_046.htm Here you can order a silencer from Jaws that basically will fit in any sled giving the dimensions needed. Does anyone have anymore info on this or have any experience? Would you do it? I'm just looking for a nice sound for my Pro-X 440, and no one else makes a silencer for my sled.

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris, not trying to flame you or anything but IMHO the nicest sounding silencer is the one that's dead nuts quiet and won't close any more trails.

Chris it looks like a good idea, I have a friend needing a Can for his mxz 500 fan and nobody sells one. This might be the ticket.

i bought a jaws can for my sled, not to loud, but louder than stock, a nice sound to them. easy to put together if u have a welder, cost 140.00 to my door here in sask. ill take a pic of it later and post it. they look good and i lost 13 lbs off zr8 with just a can change. i think the jaws can is like 4 lbs.

Thanks skcowman. A pic would be cool too! For the ones who said dont get one, i ride in a lot of groomed trails that are no where near civilization. So its not too big of a thing for me around here.

skcowman- did you have to rejet or anything?

Thanks
Chris

Saskman who did you order the pipe from and is it the same adjustable JAws (universal)can?

heres the pic, i jetted down to 410s but only cause it still had stock jets, ran it in -25 weather with no jetting change and i ordered the can from jaws in ontario somewhere.

Thanks. But one question. Does it have any U-bends(piping) on the can or is it just the can, with some piping and you have to weld the piping on? Thanks.

yes they send all the piping that u should need, and one with elbow in it also along with the little things to weld on where the spring goes. real easy to do if ya can weld.
