why don't doo install a pot on handle and thumb warmers on all machines and this would eliminate a lot of problems with resistors and HI-lo issue.where they place switches on machines with mechanical reverse it is a pain in butt.when changing gears you turn off switch accidently.also on woods machines likeSUV why not extra high windshield.just a thought.

'doo uses RER now & the switch is on the LH side of the bars. No key anymore. Check w/ your dealer, most sleds do have an optional high windshield.

sounds like you understood what he is saying.

I have an 01 800 doo and the warmers suck
thumb warmer works sometimes and bar warmers only get semi warm most of the time on hi???
checked connections,seem ok.
i do have an ohmeter.
What else can i check.

put the ohmeter on volts and check at the connections for a difference in high/low settings.
