I was just wondering if you can mix oil and it be safe. For instants, I am currently running Polaris oil in my sled, but I have none left but I have a jug of AMS oil I wanna use up. Would it be okay to run the Ams oil, and then switch back to Polaris oil???

AFAIK, there are no mixing "issues" w/ the oils that we use currently. We've all heard in the past about a friend's cousin's neighbour mixing Brand A & Brand B in his sled & it turning to jello.

I personally don't know first hand of this happening.

When i left this weekend i mixed the oil in my sled. I had maybe a quart of polaris oil left in the sled and i topped it off with Amsoil and rode for 125 miles with no troubles.

I would take a cup or so of each anc mix it together first in a jar to make sure it does not seperate and will actually combine. Just my 2 cents worth

Test if you want, but revrnd is right, you won't have a problem.

The only difference you may find is the synthetic flows better and you may burn a little more if you don't adjust your oil pump.
Probably not going to be a problem though.
