Hopefully one of you SW members living in the Sudbury area can help me out. I'm going to be riding in the Sudbury Trail Plan area Feb 6th to 8th and I'm looking for a safe and secure place (close to the trails) where I can leave my truck and trailer.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

While we're on the topic, what about a safe place to park for a few days while I ride from Sudbury to points north?

OK ........ how about just identifying a place close to the trails where I can park my truck and trailer?? I'll leave the safe / secure part out of the equation and just cross my fingers!

I know I have seen some leave there trucks in the Tim Horton/Pioneer Gas Station in Chelmsford,15minutes north of Sudbury

Trail is right there too

Corner of HWY 144/Regional road 15,you cannot not miss it

You can have a nice Tims and gas up right there 24hrs a day :) ,there is a McDonalds 2minutes away too

I also have seen guys park at the Timmies in Garson too :)

Thanks Freeze,

I always ask permission when I park for 2-3 days, I'll try that at your suggested locations.

The Falcon Hotel on Falconbridge Rd in Garson (or as Freeze said the Timmies - same place) is a great spot to stage from. Lots of room to park trailers, and right on the trail. There's lots of people around too, so your stuff should be fairly secure.

Do they mind you staging there even if you're not staying there??

I don't think so. There are alot of locals that stage from there, and the parking lot is shared with a strip mall, so I don't hink it would be a problem.

FB, what about the Northland Motel in Chelmsford?

Are you going to be staying a night before you take off sledding or when you get back? Most motels don't mind you parking in their lot as long as you spend a night.

Look @ the Econo Lodge & Quality Inn in New Liskeard. The lots there are full of trucks & trailers & always a bunch of sledders staying there.

The problem with The Northland is its a bar too

I would not trust my sleds or truck and gear at night there unless you stay there ,though alot of peopel do stay there to go sledding,I have seen trucks from oHio/Penn there with sleds

I know the Valley Inn Azilda had a enclosure for sleds before but it don't look like the use it for sleds anymore though

Hey, Mike. Where are you staying at night? There is cheap motel on Reg road 55 in Lively. The trail is right across the road,Tim's,gas,LCBO,Roadhouses ect. 2 minutes away, Village INN Motel 705 692-5021 . Good trails from here and I believe all the lakes are staked now.

Anyone else going to be up there that week end ..... as I said I'll be at the Sportsman as a home base, if you're around there ask for Mike from Waterdown ......
