Hey guys going to paradise mi this weekend. Was wondering if anyone had any advice for a nice short ride friday night, and sunday morning? Also wondering if anyone knows the mileage and amount of time it takes to get to grand maris. Was plannning on heading over there saturday morning eating lunch and then heading back. Any particular advice on riding these areas? Dotn know the areas at all so dont want to get lost. Also anyone else going to be up there this weekend? If anyone wanted to meet up and ride it would be great. Right now it will be me and my brother riding our 97ski-doo and 99yamaha and a friend might come with his 01 arctic cat. Wouldnt mind riding with anyone else espically if you know the trails lol. everyone enjoy your weekend on the trails. thanks mark

That area is well mapped and signed. It's also very busy, especially toward Newberry.

I rode there about 3 weeks ago. The trip to Grand Marais from Paradise is a pretty long one. A few hours at least if I remember right. But from Paradise to the Tahquamenon Falls and then to Newberry is not bad at all. I think allot of it was road riding which made the trip pretty quick.

Definitely check out The Tacquemenon Falls, theres also a good place to eat there, thinks its called the M-33 Brewery or something like that, its a micro brewery anyway. Strongly suggest the fruits of the forest pie for dessert! Another good ride is the loop up to Whitefish Point, its at least a couple hour ride to there and back from Paradise. I think the gas station in Paradise closes at 10 or 11 so keep that in mind. The closer you get the Newberry the worse the trail conditions usually are.

It's called the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery. Yes the food is outstanding and so is the beer I understand. I don't drink and ride so I'm not sure. But the beer cheese soup is so good you'll want to bathe in it. Make sure you make the short walk behind the brewery to see the actual falls in winter time. Very cool.

Paradise is normallly nice, was much better ten years ago. The ride to Grand marais is nice and can be done very easily in a day. We once stayed in Munising and rode to Paradise and back in a day, that was around 290 miles though, and the trails were rough. I am heading to my cabin plenty of snow there, I also just got the 900 back together and want to make sure its broken in right. I was in Canada last week and it was way cold. Kevin

just got back from that area,,,,all very good riding,,,,there were very very few rough areas. from paradise to pine stump is about 40 mile and then another 32 to grand marais,,,, there are also some seasonal roads between pine stump and grand marais that make for some nice riding,,,,,
definetly visit the falls,,,,a simple little trip would be from paradise, to pine stump, to newberry, then back to the falls and into paradise,,,, thats a 150 mile loop and some pretty good riding,,,,
