ok guys i was just out on an old airstrip testing my early build f6. my dad has a sabrecat 600 and they are very close. i have put 19/40 gears and i have 137 studs in a 1.375" track on my f6. Right now i have added 2.5 grams to my wieghts out on the ends of them. My rpms is maybe a little low at 7750 - 7800 rpm so i could stand to take a little weight off and get a few extra rpms. i have tried a 57/52 and a 55/53 helix and it didnt make one bit of difference. except that with the 57/52 helix i was only reving at 7600 rpm out of the whole and then it would creep up to 7750. i was racing my dads s6 and it didnt matter what helix i tried, it stayed the same and the rpm was different but it pulled the same.

i thought maybe i could try a 55/50 or a 57/50 helix but from what i have tried i doubt it give me any gains. Any ideas....i may not get my sled working any better. i am staying with any 800 twins out there and beatting most of them. so maybe there is nothign to be gained. what about trying my stock gears in it again. anyone have any thoughts on what to try.

There's nothing wrong with trying to squeeze alittle more out your sled but it doesn't sound like you're going to get much more out of it. You've got me thinking about buying an F6. :)

zr800, if i cant get it to work much better it will be the first sled ever that i havnt been able to inprove it. cats sleds that come from factory ussualy are clutched terrible, so it makes u feal good when improving them.

I have a F6 and it is also stock.
I got it dyno tested and it has top hp. at 7600 rpm's. (118)
I can only get 90-95 mph though, when i had a F5 i heard people where getting that with there 5's

what are you getting for speed?

thanks. JR

on most trials i can only get about 95 mph on my speedo. on the ice i can push 104. if i held it i may get 105. My 1.375 track may slow me down a bit too. not sure. i am trying a whole new setup in my f6 eather tomorrow or the first of next week. i'll let you guys know how i make out. so far i have had no luck but we came up with somethign that guys are saying should work in my sled. specially in the hard packed snow.
