How many "clicks" should I get to a tank of fuel on a 97 Formula III? (600)

If " clicks " means miles , I would start thinking about a gas station after 100 miles.

This past weekend I would have been lucky to hit 80 miles.
I was the "big fill" all weekend, even used more than the 800 MXZ.

Funny thing was the new REV with us only using half the amount that I was ....

I would think you should be able to do better than that. Other than the fuel problem, does the sled run pretty good ?

Sled is running great, loads of power & it always seems to starts! (knock on wood)

Pulls strong, finally got the suspension set right so that the skis will stay on the ground a little more ... first couple of rides it was like a wheelie machine!

Those Formualla III's , would rip. Toasted my 670 all the time. I am going to leave this one for someone that might of owned one and had similar problmes, but I have seen them go better than 80 miles on a tank. Good Luck

I have owned 3 triples now and all have been great on fuel. My '97 Mach I ( 700 ), closest in age to your sled, would get around 15 mpg. It would get about 120 miles or 200kms to a tankful of fuel. This would be riding steady at 40 mph or something close to that. I have gone 125 to 130 miles on a tank of gas with my '99 MachZ, not by choice however!! If you're getting 80 miles to a tank of gas, that sounds a little rich to me. I used to ride with some guys from work that got that kind of range on American made sleds (not brand bashing, but not stating names either!!)

:withstupid: I own a 97 FIII 600 and a 97 Mach 1(700) they get about the same gas mileage which is around 10 - 12 MPG.

You have to remember there is a different size gallon in the U.S. Our American counterparts have a 128 ounce gallon, and we have 160 ounce gallon in Canada. You will have to add 25% to any MPG values stated by our cousins to the south. Size does matter! :D

She is holding steady at around 80 miles to a tank.
I did notice last night when my buddy and I traded that it is blowing a little bit of Purple / Blue Smoke ... I assume this is a sign that it is running rich.
Checked the plugs today and they are a nice golden brown ....
