On my '99 zrt 800 at the bottom just inside the carb mouth there's a hose inlet that comes out and goes into air breather whats the for?? Its about a 4 inch black hose and just goes into air breather with nothing other than carb attached to it. I looked in books and diagrams of the carb and nowhere i could find the hose inlet. Any ideas?? I put pod filters on and i was wondering if i really needed that hose on going into them.

I'm not sure what they are either but I do now if the hose gets pinched your sled wont run good. It happend to me on my 99 600 zl

lol I can't believe its not in any books or diagrams and people i ask have no clue. I've seen and worked on alot of carbs, but never seen that before. one of those wonders i guess. :(

anybody have a clue yet??
