Every once in a while I'll check the top speed in the trip data, and it's in the hundreds. Has anyone else had this problem? What's the fix? I did the November update, so my unit should be as current as possible.
Slow down, Jim! Think of your family! :D

I once had 165 mph. But it's only happened once so I wasn't all that concerned. Maybe I should have taken a pic :-)
The high speed readings may be due to bad gps reception from the sats. I have noticed I get those readings after getting a tempoary poor gps reception message. sorta guessing, I have not read as fact.

I have always asuumed it is from temp losing position and then when it regains position it draws a staight line to new position and records that whole distance at once. I read 287mph once. In 3000 miles it has happened maybe three times to me. The rest of the time I am impressed with the speed accuracy.
