I checked the squish and it is currently at .050 and was wondering how much i can take off. What is the lowest amount of squish i can run? Come on 583 guys help me out with some other performance mods. Need to run with the 700's

aaen makes cool twin pipes, how much you want to spend, that with some clutching would make a noticable difference, much lighter to
get a good clutch kit

I have right around .050,But I've had the head cut .040 and had the squish re-cut,I have 175 lbs of compression,93 oct.

Do you have pipes? What did you already do? Someone must have already cut the head so be careful. I personally wouldn't go less than .050. Air box mods help. Cut RV plate , Larger carbs, shorter boots, bump timing, Porting, etc. The 583 if properly improved is a very fast engine.
