Hi all
I am having a problem with my snowmobile. I was wondering if anyone could help. My snowmobile is a Ski-Doo Blizzard 9500 liquid cooled and It does not want to max out a lot. I can hit the gas full and it will get up there then bog down. It has great low end power but not much high end power. I was wondering if I had to go to a smaller jet on both carbs. It also will flood out sometimes if I run it for long periods. Can any one help. Post a reply or E-mail to race1999@hotmail.com thanks.

What do the plugs look like when running WOT?

Hey I was just running it and it stalled out again. I was in the deep powder and ice that is on top of it. I had it where I hit a bump and let off the throttle immadiately. I hit it full blast again and it ran but sounded flooded. I took out the plugs and the Electrode and L thing over it were pure black and a little but oily. The rest of the parts were coated in 2 stroke oil. I use a 45/1 ratio in in. I was wondering if I had to change the plugs. I could get a picture of them and e-mail them to u. Just e-mail me at race1999@hotmail.com
Thanks

One thing to check if its doing it wide open but fine at low end is check the needle seat. I am talking about the little needle hooked to the float that opens up to allow fuel in. sometimes this can where out and it would never shut fuel supply off to carb. to check pull carb off take bowl off tip carb up so float shuts and blow in the fuel line u might have to holed the float so the air doesnt just open it but you should be able to block the air . just my 2cents

I am still having problems. Just today I tryed to run it with the air box on it(all other times I had it off. I put it on and it idles perfect. Then I tried to run it and it smoked 10 times more than it did and ran a whole lot slower. So I took it off again and took it to my school yard to run and I went round once than it stalled out again. It did same as before. Ran good then out of the blue it ran slower and smoked alot then died. I took the plugs out and turned the engine over 3 times. Replaced the plugs, gave it a prime of gas and it started back up. I took it home then shut it off. I was just wondering 2 things.
1) Is the primer lines supposed to have fuel getting sucked through them while the engine is running?
and 2) Do you think that I might have to change the jetting on the machine?
Thanks for any reply...

I figured out the problem. The rotatary valve was not put back on right and was advanced almost 90 degrees. All I have to do now is tweek the machine till it works perfect.

My Sled is still doin the same things but with more power. I just took it out to test it and still did same as b4. Ran great, bogged down to just above idle and then shut off. It took me 20 to get started again. Help plz. Also is there supposed to be fuel gettin sucked through the primer line after it starts?
