A couple of questions for you. Where abouts in New Liskeard did you stay? I don't recognize the light poles. We've stayed at the Quality Inn & Econo Lodge when we've been up there. Nice to see the shot from Kap. I wish my sled was still parked at the Apollo. I just wished the hot tub was warmer though http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Finally, where were you on the pipeline when you were playing on the hill? I can only think of the area south of Matheson or Ramore where we ran hilly terrain along it.

I guess you run up the river to get to TOP A? When I was booking rooms back in Sept. all I could get was a room at the Wheel Inn. When my bother drove up there they were detoured thru town because of that bad transport accident on #11. When he drove past the Wheel Inn, he thought it looked crummy. He was able to book us a room at the start in the Quality Inn and one over at the Econo for when we get back.

I was talking to the owner of the Auberge Country Inn (behind the Husky truck stop) He said to avoid the second weekend in February as there is a big hockey tournament annually. The organizer books up all the rooms in town.

I got an email back from the Elk Lake club today. They had a couple of breakdowns with one of their groomers and the repairs were less than satisfactory. It was probably broken down when we went thru. Hopefully things will be better next season. We were thru there 2 years ago on a Saturday & the trail was in good shape.

It may be a ugly bridge, but you wouldn't imagine the hoops you have to go thru to build a bridge nowadays.

LadyK, to replace a bridge across Eel's Creek, my parents had to deal with Burleigh & Anstruther Township, Peterborough County, Ontario MNR & MOE, Canada Coast Guard and had to have a notice published in some publication in Parliament. There had been a bridge in that particular location since the '30s, but the bureaucrats don't see it that way. They have to justify their meaningless jobs.

We should be thankful to the people working on those bridges north of Parry Sound

Revrnd this particular bridge is so bad because it is unsigned and around a bit of a curve so you cant see it.You have to go pretty slow across this bridge as it WILL bite.

Dont get me wrong I am grateful for all the bridges I just wish this one was signed like all of the other bridges up there http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Plus the decking is wore all to %^&. I'm not sure 2 sleds could meet on it. The bridge deck up in Madawaska used to be pretty gouged up too. Haven't been thru there in a couple of years though.

Your right REV that bridge has seen better days. *It is older than dirt. *It is the original wooden railway bridge from god knows when. *It has no sides and is covered in broken skids, with no warnings from either direction. *I looked straight ahead when crossing, it was scary. *Way worse than the cable bridges in quebec.
