I monitor the phone switch network for the "western" sections of the Verizon phone company. The job would be awesome if we weren't treated like pond scum. I sit in front of a computer all day playing on the net between fixing minor problems in a switch remotely, or dispatching a serious problem. It's the closest thing to doing nothing and getting paid for it as one could possibly find. :D That said, I still can't wait untill I get the bills paid off, and can get the hell out of here. During the summer I work for the county rd. commision, yup i stand in one spot for 9hrs a day turning a stop slow sign. If you are wondering, yes we do purposefully make you wait extra time, it entertains us when you get pissed. If you think your excuses will help you keep dreamin that just gives us fuel to hold you longer, we won't feel sorry for you becuase you have to sit in the same spot for 5 minutes, we have been there for 9 hrs a day for the past week. During school i work at a campus making a minimal amount over minimum wage, enough to pay for gas... I am studying law in school with the aspiration of becoming a lawyer and making the money to ride whatever sled i please! :D

I'M NOT ALONE :D . I work for a road construction company doing many things even flagging, I hated that job. Depending on my mood will decide how long you have to wait  . Worked 12 hour days in the summer, then anyother time of year it was from sunrise to sunset. I get the winters off though, but will probably end up going to school next year.
