My friend installed the V-Force 3 Reeds on his 2000 ZR500. Now I have a 98 ZL 500 with a 2000 ZR motor in it. So, these sleds were almost identical performance wise. Actually I would gain on him on the top end on long runs. I am about 70lbs heavier than he is too. Anyway, with these new reeds in, we ran them last night. Side by Side, with me getting the holeshot. He buzzed by me in the midrange and top end like I was standing still. We are believers now in the VForce reeds. We had are doubts about what a difference they made, but yesterday he flat out beat me on every run. I think I will be getting some VForce Reeds in the future. There were alot of doubters on if they made a difference on the 500, I hope this post re-assures that they indeed do.

Usually reeds can raise HP by a solid 3-5.

IMHO..............the only way it would make that much difference installing V-Force in a smaller CC engine like his is if the original reeds had an issue. Even in bigger engines the biggest gain is in throttle response / curing gurgling.
Save your money and buy a set of Carbon Tech or perhaps Boyessan replacement petals.
