I went to the dealer the other day to get a primary clutch puller for my 2000 zr700le. He could not find a part number for it, I should say that it didnt' even show my year and model sled. I ended up buying a popular one that he said he was sure that it would work. Well it is the wrong thread for one. I need to fine the correct part number for my sled, so I can take this back for an exchange. Does anybody know?

9 tower! After looking into it on the net, I found that there are only two for my year range. It just so happens that he sold me the other one, and the part number that you gave is the correct one. By what he told me is that there are a bunch of different ones. I had big plans for this weekend, and this screwed me over, oh well! Next weekend!!!! Thanks!!!!

A no brainer on that one, your dealer may want to stay just a little more current on his information. Always makes me see red when I drive to pick up a part knowing full well and being able describe what I need properly only to arrive home with THE WRONG :cussing: PART!

There are only two pullers from Cat, Artco and older Pre97 pullers Comet.

i have already had my first dealer problem, never a problem with honda for my atv dirt bikes and street bike but i just got this wrecked 500 the other day and i called to get a service manual and they said there isnt a part number for one just a parts manual, so now i have to look elsewhere for a service manual!!

I ordered a puller for my machine. (2003 600 efi). It is the same puller for all the 9 bolt plate covers except the 800 and 900 twins. I will email you the catalogue page I have. The toll free number is on the bottom and prices are Canadian.

E bay is a great source for manuals on CD or hard copy.
