Thru the advice of this forum, I purchased the Garmin Marine mount from Bass Pro Shop. It is better than the Garmin Auto Mount since it has holes on the base to allow you to screw it to your sled. Has a very nice duarble quick relase system too.
I tried using a cell phone holder, and it is not durable enough to keep the GPS in position when you hit bumps, etc.
Also, whenever I put my GPS in the map bag it sucked because the pressure of the bag would press the GPS buttons - which would change the screen - and to press any of the buttons on the GPS, I had to unzip tha bag, and reach up into the map sleeve to hit the buttons - pain in the butt!!
If you are trying to find a good, extremly adjustable GPS mount for an Garmin Etrex Series - shell out the $29 bucks for the Marine Mount- you will never regret it!!
