OK, I tried this earlier in the Houghton Lake area, with no responses, how about this: Does anybody know of ANY hotels in MI that have waterbeds in the rooms (or at least a waterbed room or two) that are near snowmobile trails? Anybody????????

Sorry I can't help you find a motel with a waterbed, but I'm SURE they still exist -- I'm, guessing that you're hooked on them, or have a bad back.

To all who haven't tried them, or got rid of your old one -- you're REALLY missing out!

I've slept on them since I was 18, and can't sleep nearly as well on any other bed.

There is NOTHING nicer then climbing into a nice warm, soft bed after a long day of sledding (hopefully with someone cuddly and willing -- or even your wife - LOL).

Never seen a hotel with a waterbed. I've had one since i was about 15 years old. Everyone always told me they sucked for "extracurricular activities" so i always avoided my bed and used my roomates. Long story, anything goes in bachlor pads.

Where there is a will there is a way, I found one!!!!! I must say that I didn't think it would be quite as difficult, but for $65.00 I found a room with a king sized waterbed, trails out the backyard, and supposedly a big parking lot, sounds perfect, I will report next week. It is sorta close to where I wanted to stay, if anybody is interested PM me and I will tell you where, but for now it is just me and the women for a weekend of "riding". I can't believe how many people never tried it, just like everything it is better for some activities, but worse for others, you just have to do it right. I used to have one as well, but my ex had a bad back and couldn't take it, so it had to go, but I will say I never realized how much it costed to heat until I got rid of it. It is great with a cold room and a hot bed.

I'm with Rick.
I really miss my waterbed.
My wife made me give it up 4 years ago, and I still complain almost every night, when I have to climb into a cold bed.

Yep, I still have a waterbed. Used to have one years ago, then had a regular bed. When I found it too hard to sleep on with my rheumetoid arthritis I bought another waterbed and now I'll never give it up!

And yes, they can be excellent for extra-curicular activities; it's all in the timing! :D :p
