 I have a 1999 mxz670HO and am wondering if it is worth changing my setup. I have 25/43 gearing,297 ramps,50/47 dalton helix /beige spring B1 16lbs.
230/320 19gr. the sled has 1.25 trackon it. The sled pulls great all the wayn through from 7800-8000 rpm. I have heard of guys running24/43 and 25/44 what would be better. and also would I benefit from bringing the secondary up to 18lbs and adding a little more weight to the primary.Just wondering if I should go in this direction.

Thanks

With 16 pounds the secondary slips big time in the deeper snow with that setup.
Clutches will run cooler @ 18 pounds. Pretty good all around setup. I have used it . I like 24-43 with the 1.25 track. It just feels more responsive in the twisties. What clicker are you running with that pin, ramp, spring combo. I would think if the motor is stock and your above 200 pounds, your in at least 4. I like the 297 in 2 or 3 position.

I run the clickers in #2 position. The engine has been ported and I run the squish at .065. The transfers were also matched up. Have not burned here down yet but I do not doo sustained high speed runs.
