Futziz583,

Your engagement should be 3400-3500. You do not want to increase the shift rpm away from where the motor makes its' max hp. For this engine it is 7000-7200rpm.

If you believe that the engine is making its' peak hp at a different rpm due to the mods that were done, I suggest that you have the sled(motor) dynoed to find out where the engine is making its' peak hp.

You can also do some timed runs on a lake over a known distance with the clickers at one setting and then changing the clickers to a different setting. See if your time improves or not. A little bit of fooling around but cheaper than dynoing. Make sure you adjust all 3 clickers on the clutch.

The clickers your describing on the TRA clutch are used to change the shift rpm of the motor. Going to a higher # will raise the shift rpm approx 200 rpm and lowering the # will decrease the shift rpm approx 200 rpm.
