I was looking for a descent fan-cooled sled, found a '99 Scandic WT, 700km's, mint shape, $3,800 inculding tax. Anything to watch out on this machine? What is the top speed on this ride, it has the 20"X156"X.91" track. I want something to tour the trails, go ice fishing with, carry supplies out for a weekend of camping. Must be reliable, I figured this proven 500cc fan-cooled would be good for me.

Anyone know what the top speed should be, what the fuel range is, and are these machine reliable?

your top speed will probably be in the 60mph range. It is a proven sled and will definitely be reliable. Good work machine.

Thanks for the info, I figured it would be a good machine. I do alot of solo riding so reliability is a concern. I have two Traxter on Litefoot tracks currently, they work but are very slow, too slow to enjoy the ride. Here's a link

They would work fine for someone content with touring the trails at 12-25km/h, but it just isn't for me. I'll leave them for the summer.

I'll be going to the dealer this weekend, will decide by then if it will fit my application.
