I have a 1998 formula III 700 after the the clutch engages i get a rattle noise from the primary clutch if anyone could tell me what causes this i would greatly appreciate it.

How many klicks on it? Has the spring cover ever been replaced? A co-worker was complaining about the same thing on his '98 MXZ 670. 60 bucks for the part. His sled had around 8000 klicks on it.

I aalso have this cluch noise and was going to post something too.
Only mine does the noise when it comes down to an idle and when it is idleing.
Want to know why this happenes.

mines a 2003 mxz 380 with the bombardier lite clutch not a T.R.A. clutch and i also have the same problem on idle but i was told for my clutch the problem is in the clutch buttons are loose and all i need to do is pull my clutch and put some locktite on them and reinstall. I don't know if it is the same on your clutch but its worth a try.

Saw this on an early 90's Plus. Retorqued the clutch to spec and the rattle went away.

Been runnin a 01 800.After heatin clutch,around half hr primary makes a faint flutter type sound..
Could this be a wore spring cover?or bushings?

had that same thing on my 92 mach one for about 2 months then one day the clutch bolt fell out, luckily it was in my back yard
