Have you done any adjustments yet?

the only thing i have done is the limiter straps are loosened all the way and this helped a little bit

I've got a 93 T-Cat 900 & had the same problem....couldn't hook up, track just spinning. I moved the scissors arm forward to allow more weight transfer...what a difference it made. After making the scissors arm adjustment and letting out the front limiter strap you can increase preload on the front spring if you still aren't hooking up......don't load up too much though or you won't be able to keep your skis on the ground enough to turn. When you move the scissors arm forward you'll notice the suspension gets softer so crank up the rear springs if you need to.
Once your hooking up you better hold on....the Beast just flies.

999,

If you're looking for hook-up on hard packed snow, get rid of that studded track and install the tallest finger track that will fit in your tunnel. Best bang for the buck of all my mods. Makes an M-10 hook up like no other, and say good-bye to the competition.

Finger track is by far the best hook-up on hard pack I've found also you won't be dissopointed and you will be tightening limiters instead of loosening.

I ride a lot in low snow conditions,,,, I am also trying to get more traction out of my 900,,, what kind of difference would the 1 1/2 track do compared to a 1" track. I have a 1" on it now, almost brand new, with no studs,,,

If I put the 1 1/2" track on, am I going to tear it up running in low snow areas???

A 1.5in will definately hook up better in low snow conditions as long as you jump in the powder every now and then you should be fine I ran a 1.6 in poor conditions but as long as I kept hitting the powder every now and then it was perfect. Now I am running a 2in finger track but this sled now is used only for snow drags or messing around. The difference is night and day limiters are cranked in suspension chained and with my light 230-35lb self I am over the windshield and still can't keep her down now I wish I had a 141 for suspension instead of a 136. Pulls like a freight train and more consistent runs.

As long as you remember to hit the powder you should be fine I usually like hitting the powder anyways but if I were on a groomed trail there would be a difference if there was not any powder to hit. But here I do ok.
