I added a 2" riser to my handlebars which raised the idle with the stock cable. I lowered it by adjusting the cable and then adjusted the idle back down. Now the enrichment mode isn't working at cold startup. Before the sled would rise to 3000 tell it warmed up and would go back to idle. I bought a new temp sending unit thinking that might be the problem. Can someone please post the correct way to set up a 2001 800 with dpm please. Also how to tell if dpm is working correctly above 3000 rpm. Should the solenoid move? Can I test it by appling voltage to it?

Found real problem! Boots have delaminated. Just cost me 300 to replace with rad valves instead of stock. Not what I wanted this late in the season. Atleast my pipe came though. Add one more 2001 with bad boots.
