phat_cat800 02-17-2004, 03:06 PM Clutching, gut the airbox, rejet those are some of the best and sheapest thinggs that will help. Also there is a upgrade to the CDI box I believe, but not sure if it does any good to your 2000 or not. Maybe if you are willing to give up a little top end you can drop a tooth on your top gear to give more pull and acceleration.
Zrt600-97 02-17-2004, 03:34 PM ok i'll try that...
boring anbd stroke rekomended then? and how much shanges?
gamer 02-17-2004, 03:44 PM along with clutching the best bang for the buck is to buy a used set of pipes ( 12 to 16 hp gain) depending on manufacturer

Oh so your looking to really spend some money. There are a number of big bore kits out there for the T-cat but if you are going to use this sled for trails I wouldn't suggest it. But if your just running drags then sure go for a big bore. Out this weekend we saw a group of newer T-cats running some Jawz pipes and Dalton clutches and they seemed to really go and sounded AWSOME. If you do a little search you should be able to see if the CDI swamp is a benefit to your sled.
puree 02-17-2004, 08:04 PM if your looking to dump some cash, get in touch with one of the aftermarket comapanies about an entire matched kit,,,, someone like d&d, black Magic, etc,,,,,,
king artic 02-17-2004, 08:56 PM forgot d&d- black magic , and the other big bore if you want a big bore for your 1000 cc ,bore whit your artic cylinder and you can have the same horsepower ,don,t waste your money on a false verity !!! bore or stroke your motor is the most reliable kit you can have :hallo1:
king artic 02-17-2004, 09:02 PM on 2000 t-cat your cdi is 3 degree to lower , put a 5 degree key and you are whit a 2001 cdi + 2 degree just whit that you see the difference
king artic 02-17-2004, 09:06 PM I run big bore 1100 t-cat whit cpr pipe and 2001 cdi whit 4 degree timing key and all the other modification(v-forve ,ported crankcase...etc)good result my friend
ZR Sled Head 02-17-2004, 10:13 PM Best bang for your bucks is in clutching and jetting, CPR has some deadly set ups for that sled. How fast ya wanna go comes down to how much ya wanna spend.
Rick.
