I thought this "merger" of the WSA & CSRA was supposed to help snowmobile racing. So far all we know is that attendence has been "crappy" (no figures given) @ the indoor event that has been held & the T.O. event cancelled.
So the snowcross fans in Ontario get :cussing: again. Last winter we saw Mike Island on a borrowed sled struggle @ Horsehoe Valley.
Manitoba & Quebec get events, but we get nothing. H#$%, we can't even watch it on TV. Maybe they could schedule a race @ Georgian Downs south of Barrie on the weekend before or after the Valcourt races.
This would be a perfect location, 45 minutes from Toronto right on the 400 for easy access. It's in the middle of the snowbelt, meaning you could sled to the event. Plus the facilities are brand new and the grandstand is enclosed if the weather isn't good for being outside.
Any other comments?

Rev.
The first round of the indoor series is going to air this Sunday on Speed. WSA is in charge of the indoors this year, so why don't you ask them why the indoor is cancelled, and why the year they took over the indoor series, there is no advertisement of the events, hence why the attendance is way down. Also, why would the WSA run an outdoor event on the same weekend as the silverdome that was only a 45 min drive between them??
The Downs in Barrie will not have any motorsports at their location unless it was run in the parking lot. The management is too worried about grass being ripped up as well as other damage!! The Supermoto crew were able to put an event on as they ran in the parking lot and still had room for their pits.

I can see the riders being real excited about racing on snow in a parking lot. :whatever:
OK, we move it to Barrie to the Fairgrounds then. Motels are in the area for the racers to stay @ & it's beside the 400 as well.

The Barrie event Centre would be a good place for it. Think we can convince them to do it??!! :)

The death of the SuperSnowcross indoor tour is what the WSA has wanted for awhile now
They were giving both the hammer and nail when Ken sold it to them
It was a sad day when the merger was announced and it was so obvious that this was going to happen
Oh well
Anyone coming to Chelmsford for the Sudbury Grand Prix CSRA SnoX

I think he means they were given all the authority they needed to kill it when they became new owners.

The WSA is getting what they want, all they want to do is try to run all the other race circuts out of buisness!!!!! Here in Michigan they are running extra race's (added in the middle of the season) so they can drop the attendance of the MSXRA events! If someone has a problem with the WSA they should think about not supporting them! But then again the WSA really don't care about a few internet people either!!

A couple of other suggestions I've seen mentioned are Centennial Park in Toronto & a ski hill near Milton.

W/ the results that Mike Island & Earl Reimer posted this year, you would think that the WSA would want to race in Ontario. The fans are certainly aware of the riders.
Crossing the border can't be a excuse as they do it twice to go to Valcourt & Winterpeg.
