phazerhater 04-06-2002, 05:41 PM As a heavy smoker for several years I know first hand how hard it is to quite. *Good for you and stick with it!! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
The hardest thing for me when trying to quite is the habit of smoking while on the computer. *These computers are evil I tell ya!LOL
Best of luck to ya! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

paul yarek 04-06-2002, 08:08 PM i never smoke during the daylight hours and sometimes don't have one for a couple weeks, but i average 1 a day i guess. when i go away with the boys then i have a couple but never with the family around. it's a stinky thing.
LadyK 04-06-2002, 08:09 PM Good for you Snowmonkey.Did you get the patch or are you going cold turkey? I dont know if I am ready to give up my coffin nails just yet.Somewhere in the future I will have to because they will make the bloody things illegal soon. LOL http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Everytime you crave a smoke think of the ROCKET FUEL money you will have http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Wolfman 04-06-2002, 08:59 PM Congrats and keep it up. *I had been on and off for several years before finally calling it quits for good last October. *I got a BAD chest cold, and taking a drag was like inhaling broken glass. *I quit cold turkey that day, and surprisingly this time around, never even had cravings for them. *Now I want to gag when I'm around cigarette smoke. * *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
z800rotax 04-06-2002, 10:33 PM Good luck moderator monkey http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif That is about the only habit i never picked up.When we ride with non-smokers we tend to put on more miles as we don't stop for but breaks, just think of it that way and more BEER money http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Snow Monkey 04-07-2002, 07:09 AM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Lets see, Its 2:00 in the morning and i was out all day and night with people who smoke. We had some drinks throughout the night and it was the hardest thing to do."Not having a smoke"
* *I did'n't break or falter once. I am so happy
* *Oh yeah, I wanted one really really bad http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Snow Monkey 04-07-2002, 07:12 AM LadyK...... I used the patch for 1 1/2 days till it fell off. I wanted to see how long I could go without it and haven't put it back on again.
Thanks everybody for the support, I appreciate it http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Rottie 04-08-2002, 01:56 PM I quit smoking 3 years ago and developed asthma 6 months later..go figure..makes it hard to get your sled out of deep snow in -30 when you need your puffer !!
Rocketman 04-08-2002, 02:08 PM I have asthma as well...have to take those breath delflectors off so I can breath if I have to carry a sled out of the sticks http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

paul yarek 04-09-2002, 02:28 AM you only have to quit for a day and then there is no problem from there until the 6 month thing then it bugs you for a day or two.
Snow Monkey 04-09-2002, 02:46 AM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif Not for me. It bugs me everyday. The hard part for me is after a meal or when drinkin. Other than that I am usually pretty good. It still isn't easy though. It takes a lot of will power and self discipline to fight with yourself not to. Your mind can come up with some pretty good excuses as to why you should have one!!! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
paul yarek 04-09-2002, 02:55 AM snow monkey,
*look at all the good things you will never get cold again sledding is the most important. your feet will always be warm.
snow4brains 04-09-2002, 03:24 AM Yeah,

Snow Monkey 04-09-2002, 03:28 AM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Yeah, that will be nice but i will also miss the stopping. We all quit on the same day and it was down to two of us today and I prevailed. i didn't win a bet but i win in the long run. They tried hard to get me to smoke I'll tell ya, but I was strong. A cigarette will never touch my lips again!! I am Free and feel great.

Snow Monkey 04-19-2002, 02:56 AM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Well its, day 25 and i feel great. Urges are getting much better to handle!
I have now started to eat healthy! No more Junk food! No more Pepsi! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif I am addicted to Pepsi, i love the stuff. Watching what i eat and eating alot more rabbit food. Friuts and veggies taste pretty good when they are not laced in grease!!! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif *I think this one is gonna be hard due to the fact that i started to eat more once i started non smoking but i don't need to have a heart attack by the time i am 40.
Soon enough i will start exercising more regularly and maybe i can drop enough pounds to go way faster in the winter. I might need a new machine for that one though!!! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Try some bananas,very healthy lol
By October you must be down to 200lbs
Monkey. Then just maybe you could beat me in a race *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif
z800rotax 04-19-2002, 02:11 PM I gave up trying to slim down and found it was more fun to modify the sled to make it faster or just buy a bigger one http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Bartman 05-22-2002, 11:14 PM Keep up the good work! I never thought I could quit but it's been 6 years now.
performancex 05-23-2002, 05:18 PM That's a lot of money saved. *Great job!
oh my god, that amount is huge!
what do cigs cost over there that is is so much? I thought they were expensive here (the non-smuggled ones that is, I never buy those hehe), but over there they seem to be double the price we have here!
Bartman 05-23-2002, 11:17 PM That is a crazy price, I once thought about bringing cheap American cigarettes to Canada, living on a border state and all, and making a small profit until I found out they put people in jail for that stuff,
