:D :D Just got back 1500 k from Timmins to Kap to Hornepayne to Manetawadge to Dubreville to Chapleau and back to Timmins. All trails are open and GREAT. Best sledding in years. As a reflection Best grooming and trail condition goes to the Dubreville club. My hats off to all clubs on this route see you guys next year.

We did a similar loop at the same time as yourself, going from Timmins to Chapleau to Hornepayne to Kapuskasing and back to Timmins.
Having never been that far north on the trail system, I was very impressed with all the trails we were on. Never came across a trail that I would consider bumpy. Grooming was very consistent through the whole loop. Accomodations were good and gas was quite reasonably priced (except for in Missinabe).
Most memorable trails:
1) TOPS C from Smooth Rock Falls to A106C - very fast, but never straight for more than a few hundred meters
2) Tops A rail line from Bambino's towards Hearst - Straighter than straight and wide and FLAT
3) Windy bit of trail from Dalton to Missinabe - a real work out

Jerry, what did you think of Bambino's? Did it look like the rooms were open?
It's too bad there isn't another way thru that section from Missanabi to Dalton. Of all the miles I've racked up in 4 trips to northern Ontario, that has got to be the worst stretch of trail. I saw the Luc the Groomer Guy post on TC.com that they weren't grooming it this winter. No reason given.

Rev I now know what you said about having a feeling about Bambinos.
We rode from Kap through Bambinos down to Hornepayne.
Trails were groomed to perfection. Some of our group said they were the best on the trip. I however felt the trails in and out of Dubreville were the best.
