I over heated my HO a week ago. Warped the head and got so hot it melted the temp sensors. Well the head is fixed, the hole in the heat exhanger that started the whole deal is fixed, and I've replaced the temp sensors but the light stays on unless I unplug one of the sensors.

I suppose I could have gotten a bad sensor, I will try a different one. Could it be anything else. It comes on as soon as I start the engine so I know it's not getting hot.

Also, does anyone know why there are two sensors on this sled? As near as I can tell this is uncommon since everything else has just one. They're different sensors, one is the same one that most other rotary valve rotaxs have then there's one that according to the dealer is actually a Sea Doo part. The description is simply "sensor-liquid".

I've thought about just putting a temp gauge in but I'd like to know the purpose of the extra one before I do that.

One is for the DPM and the other is a temp switch that runs the idiot light.
Take both wires off the one that runs the light and ohm it out. It should be open until the temp comes up closing the contact thus turning on the light.
