My 04 800 seems to be way more sensitive to temp changes then my 440xcr. Planning on doing some riding this weekend with predicted temps around 50 so I plan to jet down to a from 460 to 420. Any tips or tricks to changing them? Never done this before. Any help is appreciated.

If you have never done them before you might want to have someone show you in person for the first time, I know it helps me. Are you still breaking your motor in ? One of the guys I ride with has an 04 XC 800, and we have been up to 40F without any problems. Good Luck -

IMO don't bother. Install a Tempa Flow and you'll be dead on all the time. You can be an expert at jetting and change your jets every 10 degree change and you'll still not be as close.
Best $125 I ever spent and really not very hard to install.
That said swapping jets is pretty easy. You should just need to turn off the gas, remove the float bowls, screw out the old jets and scew in with the new.
If you're fairly mechanically inclined it should be pretty obvious once you dig in. If you're not, we're back to "don't bother"

Thanks XC007.... I appreciate it!! I definitely plan to install a Vari-Flow this spring / summer. I just wanted to jet-down for the 50 degree weather were "supposed" to have Saturday.
I didn't figure it would be that hard... thanks again!!
