Can any one tell me where the best places are to ride that are within 5to6 hours of minneapolis. i am so tired of all the warm weather here in minnesota. Winters here are getting shorter and shorter. i am about ready to sell the sleds and just give it up. use to be you could ride for 4to5 months here, now we are lucky to get a month or two. i am just fed up. I think I will move to Alaska. Last year we had punishing cold but no snow. This year, lots of snow, but now warm weather for the last 2 weeks. All the snow is almost gone down here in the twin cities. SEND ME SOME SNOW. PLEASE

Well I hate to add to your poor winter but it seems that in the lower 48 states the winters have not been all that great for 3 years or so. We up here in Alaska have had bad winters the last 2 seasons but this one has been great we started riding in mid Nov. and it looks like we will continue riding in the higher elevations for a couple more months at least. Come on if you are really looking for snow there is only one place that I know where it is and it is up here.

Hey Kwarp:

If you are willing to travel to the Canadian border of Minnesota you can usually find some riding during the season. I am located in Int'l Falls and we have been riding since mid December although the first couple weeks were marginal. Some of the guys in my club rode to Crane Lake yesterday, a round trip of about 130 miles. We hope to ride for another couple of weeks at least if the cold returns. We still have substantial snow but if there are people out riding today the trails will be beat bad due to the warmth and a little wintry mix. Check out our area on our Club Website (http://www.ridetheborder.com).

We actually had the best winter in many years up here. Keep the faith man.

The snow is leaving us in most parts at the moment. Weather is killing us. Pray for a good dumping of snow soon all over. Its need badly!

I know it's a long way but lots of you U.S. guys come up to The northwest angle and then follow our Ontario trail from there. It is marked to Kenora and you can go west to the wonderfull Whiteshell trails in Manitoba. :D :D

some people have all the luck,,,,,,,, I was talking with a guy from Maine the other day and he told me he couldnt wait to get rid of the snow,,, I told him that he was crazy and he simply said that after so long you get tired of it??? He also rides!!!! I think there is something wrong with his head,,,,
