Ok, this is a stupid question and no I'm not color blind but unless it's sitting side by side I usually can't notice a difference in shades of a color. I once went to the landscaping place and ordered 5 yards of the wrong shade of decorative rock delivered. I didn't notice it until I started using it to fill in the stuff that was already there.

Most of the guys I ride with, ride Polaris or cat with a couple of Doos (but not yellow). So...

I know there were two shades of yellow on the S-Chassis MXZs. One darker and one lighter. My 99 670HO Is the darker of the two right? What years were darker and what years are lighter? My hood and belly pan are pretty beatup and I've been looking for cheap replacements but I'm not sure what years will match the other paint.

As long as I'm here anyone got a 1/2 way decent hood and/or belly pan?

The 97's were the last year of the more "orangey" yellow.
98's and 99's are a brighter yellow. I have a great pan off a 99 HO that I
will sell but the shipping might be too much to make it worth while.

the yellows arn't that different...but the newer one is more paleish yellow, while the older one is a more vibrant orangeish yellow....

it doesn't sound like your into exact colour matching so i wouldn't worry too much about it...

that being said, a sled left out in the sun will be many different shades of yellow, as the shroud, pan, tunnel, trailing arms etc all fade at different rates...
