Hey huys,
i was just wondering if the 03' f7 is really that bad in the tight trails? I thinking about purchasing one too. How fast are they pretty much stock? 100mph?more? Can it stay with an 800? how is the suspension in the bumps? and updates are major problems with them ?-chris

they are not bad at all in the twisties, once you get it set up properly. They are very quick,,, in 660 foot I am taking my 900,,,, I have been over 100 mph,,, been to 116, but I am not quite stock now. the suspension is great,,,, make sure the updates were taken care of then buy it and enjoy,,,,

:withstupid: My brothers 03 F7 is a HUGE improvement over my ZRT in the twisties. Once you get them set up good they'll rail around turns great and very light and fun to ride in tight trails. My brother has had his upto 114mph and it'll easily hang with the 800's and beat many of them. The suspension is also very good and handles the rough stuff with ease.

What is "that bad"? I don't think thay'll handle quite as good as a ZR, but that doesn't mean it's not good. You can still be good even if you're not the best.

Like everyone said above once you get them setup there great. First swap out the stock 4inch carbides then do somthing to get more skipressure most just do it with the limiter strap you can also play with the front spring tension. I will say though that stock out of the box I was starting to get a little worried about the handling in the twisties. Also for a real big improvment swap skis to something like SLP Powder Pros, C&As, or Simmons.

Nope it's a great sled in the twisties, just needs more body english than perhaps a ZR. Once you get onto what it needs you'll be more than pleased with the handling and performance.

remember on any sled you really have to tweak the adjustments to make it work the way you want it to... factory settings never work for everyone

the guy i bought my 02 ZR 800 efi cc had a 03 f7 and a 04 f6. he told me even after the tweaking on the f cats he could not match the ZR for handling. One good trails he perfered the zr once the trials went to crap the F cats have the upper hand. As far as speed his F7 and ZR800 efi were neck and neck

Spent a number of miles on my brothers F7 this weekend,,,what a blast it is to ride compared to my 800. These sleds just rock in the trails and if they get rough its even better :inlove: . In a striaght line its so close to my 800 its not funny. I see the mods must have deleted the "LOL" post
