: 500ssrev Ice Drags/grass Drags
zrt improved 03-06-2004, 11:06 PM ok guys triples and myself were discussing this over a few beers. he is going to enter his wifes rev in some grass drag events this summer, will it be in the 500 stock or 600 stock class, tell us what you think. stickers say 500 motor says 597?
The Hossman 03-06-2004, 11:21 PM It'd have to run the 600 class, I don't care what the decals say.....
The unfortunate thing is that one of it's worst enemies is also yellow - the 600HO...
NewfieBullet 03-06-2004, 11:44 PM 600 class for sure. And any other new 600 that it lines up against is going to beat it.
xc500 03-07-2004, 02:45 PM He would have to run 600.
Sharkey 03-07-2004, 03:08 PM But the 500 ss is listed as a lighter sled than the 600 H.o, which would make race closer than some think. :D
donner54 03-07-2004, 03:28 PM You will have to enter the 600 class. The engine is more than 500 CC...
NewfieBullet 03-07-2004, 04:11 PM I'm sure somebody else was asking about this today.
It runs in the 600 class, and it won't stand much of a chance.
Steven Hohman 03-07-2004, 05:42 PM Especially not a chance with a 600HO in there.......or an F6.
SKI-DOO X 03-07-2004, 07:07 PM 600 class most likley.......500 if you know the tech guys are too stupid to spot it.........
BTANK 03-09-2004, 10:29 AM 600 class it dont stand a chance.
Thats the most redicolous thing ive ever heard. it aint no differnt from any other 600. From my personal side of view i havent seen an f6 that beat me yet. And i run right with the H.Os. Or ahead of em.
Definitely have to run the 600 class. Don't let everyone get you down, setup is key on the grass. Mind you if you happen to run into a 600 ho or F6 that is setup well, you will lose. But, for the most part, you will do well if you setup the sled for grass. Most people don't take the time to setup a sled to launch properly or jet for temperature for example. There are many little things you can do to do well in grass drags even if you have an underpowered sled. Good luck !
zrt improved 03-09-2004, 04:45 PM  ]HEY 440X GREAT PICTURE, OTHER THAN THE BACKGROUND, COULDN'T FIND ANOTHER PIC TO POST. [TO MUCH GREEN IN THE BACK  ]
mustardman 03-09-2004, 05:25 PM humm should I post some pics of my 99 on the grass this past spring???
mustardman 03-09-2004, 05:44 PM darn it. the pics were posted for me on another site this past spring and I cant find them. arrrrggggggg :cussing:
I had a 99 mxz 600 that was set up extremly well for grass in 500 feet. dont know times but I was getting 73-77mph
i had boyseen reeds, clutching, chisels, mild head work, reg skis. still a trail set up sled for snow.
miss the sled. sold it and I bought an 04 rev 600ho adrenaline. but cant beat this sleds in the trails. wow
BTANK 03-10-2004, 09:28 AM No picture better than that, seein those cats gettin hammered, makes me feel proud of what i grew up around when i was a kid. Most of the people I rode with this yr had all cats and they all busted on me cause i was the ugly ducklling with the Rev well everybody picks on a Rev till they get beat most of em were Zr 600s and one f6 beat em all and they didnt say a word the rest of the day. Or the whole Yr.
caper711cc 03-11-2004, 10:49 PM The ugly part is right and the guy`s you beat better not claim to beat
shouldn`t consider themselves tuners if a SS beat a F-6.
If you think so we will have snow here for an other month ,
maybe you need a road trip to wake and smell the coffee.
cause the Cats here are feeding and Doo`s are the main course!!
Cape Breton Stock....waiting ...............14-15 hrs.....
BTANK 03-12-2004, 08:17 AM uhh huh....
No Room for ##### cats in Upstate New York, Caughin up Rotax sickness. :sly:
mustardman 03-12-2004, 02:17 PM you guys aren't stock. dont know who your trying to fool. caper :slick:
BTANK 03-13-2004, 04:14 PM Prolly not ..
Maybe one day theyll wake up and realize why theres a yellow blur ahead of em all the time.
But then again there will be no kitty cats runnin around so the big dogs can have there fun.
caper711cc 03-22-2004, 06:38 PM The Kitty Cats here start at 1800 cc and go down in size from there, so bring on the
yellow sickness cause us Cat guy`s are Doo for a good crap!!
The Doo dealers here are back ordered on and PISTONS ,RINGSand JUGS
wonder why......Do all them need rings at 800 miles ,pistons at a 1000 miles
and crank seals anytime???????
Cape Breton Stock....................9 ft of snow on the main Highland RD,bring it on!! :hallo1: :hallo1: :hallo1: :hallo1:
BTANK 03-22-2004, 10:40 PM Not mine still runnin better than brand new at 1200 miles.
