Yesterday evening while coming through some of the local trails I got to thinking how nice it would be to be on a ditch-banger so I could pound through the yes-mamms without worry. But I'm so sold on the long track now I could never go back.
I really really love the ergonomics of the X2's, and as almost all my riding is off trail the stand up position is ideal for me.

So I really think the perfect sled for me would be a Pro-X2 800with a 136"x1.75" track. Remove the swaybar and away you go!

The other benefit of course is that the Pro-X series has much beefier suspension parts, so it should stand up to excursions into the trees better than my SKS too.

So, has anybody long-tracked a Pro-X? Any troubles doing it?

im with you on this one, i also think this would be the perfect sled for me. My brother inlaw is also thinking about doing this. i dont think there would be any problems, just drop the gearing. I also find this sled feels perfect. i love the way i sit on it.
im sure you can find a left over pro x2 and the money you save for buying a year old will cover the long trax conversion. this is what i plan on doing also with my future sleds because i am also sold on the powder riding. I long traxed my mxz and its the best thing i did, i dropped the gearing, and went with a 136x1.5. will never go short trax again.

I think an Expert X swap would be the way to go with the X2 sled Newf.

Got a set of custom made rails(wicked job)that i use to convert my pro-x race sleds for mountain use at the end of the season. It will convert a pro-x rear skid to a 144". The fabrication master at the dealer i work at took two sets of pro-x rails and built them.

Sounds cool! Do you have any pictures? Did you reposition your rear swing arm? How does it steer and handle?
