Interested in putting my 700 twin mxz 2000 engine in a rev 440 x chassis. Anyone know if it can bolt in or what changes are required.

Any help appreciated.

Unless you are getting a SUPER GREAT DEAL on the eng. and chassis...dont waste your time or money trying to do this...
First off the 600 H.O. will perform just as well if not better that the '00 700 eng. and second..there is no pipe for a 700 in a rev chassis, granted I know the 600 H.O. pipe will prolly work, but unless you already own a 00 mxz700(wich I see under your name) with a completely JUNK chassis...AND.. a rev 440 with a JUNK engine, I would just buy a 600h.o. and not deal with any of the hassel.....but other than a pipe and possibly a mounting plate(if the 440 and the 6 are different)...I think it will bolt right in...just my $.02

I know how these "projects" go...been there done that...did it again..and again....but now I think I've finally learned..."projects" like these are a RICH mans hobby...they always cost wayy more than you think

You could prolly do.....it might be difficult, but a good summer project...not a whole lot diff in the engine placement...but pipe is different...and have to modify somethings...but definatley possible

DooinVT, dmxzc asked if the motor will bolt in and what changes will be required, he did not ask if you thought he is wasting his time and your opinions on the 600h.o motor being great or the rev 440 motor being crappy.\

but......... dmxzc, I would think you should just need a modified pipe, I am pretty sure the motor's have the same kinds of mounting plates, if not could probably pick one up some where, it should be easy if you have the right tools, right clutch alignment, and a good place to work, is the rev 440 an 03 or 04?

I was just trying to give the perspective of the whole picture!!!
some times people tend to get ahead of themselves with a "good idea"(just like some people get ahead of them selves when they speak) and in all actuallity it ends up being nothing but a waste of time and money...(thus if he had 2 sleds -one w/a good eng. and one w/ a good chassis it would make sence to do something like this).....I was just trying to help the guy out with a different "opinion" after all..... thats what these boards are all about...."opinions" ..if no one had an opinion or didnt have a "different opinion" these boards would all be blank! :)

thanks for the info guys. really serious about this project.

would be definitely a one of a kind sled, great strong chassis

i would say the sled would be hard to beat in the 700 class.

I agree 100%. The 700 is stronger than the 600HO.
