i was readin a diff post that said a 50/36 or so is the best helix for a polaris clutch, does this apply to a 2000 xcr 800? im lookin for a setup that will dial my engine in, its ported with billet head inserts and with the right pipes should be in the 190 hp range at 8500 -8700 rpm i have yet to put this engine in a sled yet and it didn't come with a clutch so im startin from scratch. its either gonna go in a edge chassis, or my 97 ultras chassis, the secondary clutch is a team. roller (came with engine) so any one have any ideahs on wheere to start the clutchin?

Petty cool, My friend has his triple in a prox chassis, it's awesome.
The Xcr setups we've had in the past with similar mods were 54/34 with 58 gram weights.

vogey, you can get around 180hp trailable out of the xcr. yes, id go with the 50/38, on the ice. unless your a snow racer, then 40-45/38. mike

You will need more weight than the 58's. Id say 62's or so if you are 180-190 hp. Figure out how to engage it low (4000+/-) or you will smoke a 121" track. My 136" x 1.25 hooks pretty well @ 4000 with a low 180HP motor. I run 64's but only pull 8400-8500.
