: Is That It?
winnipegsledhead 03-14-2004, 12:19 PM Well we were suppose to get 15cm of snow over the weekend and we never got 1 mm WTF? Every single weather station was putting out warnings to tell us to stay off the roads. They forecasted snow and blowing snow in open areas and I never ever got a dusting all we got was some stupid freezing drizzle.
I hate to say it but I think winter is offically over, even if we get more snow it's not gonna stay around long enough to make any use of it. It has been quite a short riding season for me this year and only mananged to put on like 400 miles.
Only 8 months until the ground will be white again, and I'm already counting the months. WINTER FOREVER!!!!

phat_cat800 03-14-2004, 12:32 PM Yup its all over here and I already have the sled all done up for summer storage. Defintly the shortest winter I can remember in a while with only 2 storms all winter :cussing: . Heres a picture of the last time my sled was out and all cleaned up.
revrnd 03-14-2004, 12:39 PM I see on the Weather Network that northwestern Ontario got up to 10" last night. There is a heavy snowfall warning for the area between Thunder Bay & Kap.
MXZOOoom 03-14-2004, 01:33 PM Only had six weeks this year, and I am still going to buy a new sled. My none sledding friends think I am Nuts lol.

greatwhitenorth 03-14-2004, 10:46 PM winnipegsledhead, you should move about 3 hours north(I am in waterhen) because yesterday we got a foot of snow to add to our already 2 feet of snow. so I did some good sledding, I am going to post a pretty interesting topic about it today..............

I thought this was one of the best years for riding in Winnipeg in a least 3 years. I am out at the cottage now in Lake of the Woods and we got all that snow you were talking about, we already had lots of snow still and it is just that much more now. Just take a trailer to Kenora and you will see for yourself, that recent snow missed Falcon Lake though.

The ditches around Winnipeg are toast though, they always go fast.
03ProX 03-14-2004, 11:01 PM The winter started late here, but things are good now! The trails are holding up good and were perfect Tuesday when we went out! I started riding on the Lake in mid December and by early-mid Jan. we had enough snow to ride the trails, and have been riding each week ever since!!

I ride 5 hrs. to the northwest, and we got at least 10" too (Duck Mtn.) :p

CORY9 03-15-2004, 12:19 AM Funny about the weather. We're in the same boat here. Trails have been closed for three weeks, but one hour north I hear they are in mid season form.
sledhed17 03-15-2004, 12:21 AM this is true ........ but the white stuff :D is always nice.......
