My buddy put it on his 99 mxz 600 and it virtually eliminated any ski lift that he had, The skis never come up on one side when you hit a corner hard, I think it's worth it. You may not think your widening your sled that much but wait til you put it on a trailer! I used to fit mine and my buddies sled right next to each other with plenty of space in between , now it real close.
