I'm wondering if anyone looked the location of the oil filter on the RX1? Is it easy to get at? How about the oil reservoir since it's a dry sump system how easy is it to drain without getting oil all over the place. It's not like a bike or car where you just slide a pan under and take out a drain plug.

Yes i looked when I was at the show. The reservoir is on the right side where the muffler would be, with a drain plug on the bottom & access thru the belly pan. the filter is on the front of the motor under the airbox does't look too bad at all.

The guys that are buying one, probably are hoping that there isn't a lot of oil in the filter when they change it. Nothing harder than oil under the motor to try to clean up. Ski-doo finally wisened up & put a drain plug in the chaincase. Oil changes are a lot less messy now http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
