Does anyone know if you have to buy a specific drill bit for putting in studs or can you use any normal one ?

There is a bit to use for tracks that will drill out the hole properly and cauterize
the track .

:withstupid: don't use a regular drill bit! the proper one is hollowed out and will pop out the rubber slug.

just buy the right bit, it is sooo much easier.

Yes, buy the plug cutter, but remember that there is one for 7mm and one for 1/4". Make sure your is the correct one. If you don't use the cutter, good luck pushing the studs through, as it hard enough when you cut the plug out!
