Well we went to the Canyon yesterday. Sorry folks but the sun was shining all day and the trail was hard with just enough loose snow to keep the sliders and sleds cool. Played leap frog with 3 or 4 other groups all the way up. They said that about 60 sleds came through the pumps yesterday. Met a lot of folks from diffrent boards in those groups and at the gas trailer. It's cool to put faces to the names. I'll post some pics when I get back home. By the time we got there the snow was softening up. Gassed and ate then went over to the hills for a couple of hrs. there is still lots of snow on and off the trail but the roads are getting to the point that you shouldn't us them unless you can ride the shoulder. Saw the snowmobile Television crew with a bright ORANGE King Cat. I think we were the last group to leave as we didn't see anyone else on the way home. The trail was a lot softer going back with lots of loose stuff to cool the sleds. Got back to town about 7:30 and went for a chew at JRs Booby-Q. Today is suposed to be sunny as well with the rain on hold till till at least Mon. Oh ye baby. I think that this will be one of the last weekends to ride trails here unless it gets cold and they get a bit of fresh snow.

Glad to hear you had a good time up there. What was the gas going for @ the trailer?

I see you're from St Mary's. We met up w/ Tim segran on our trip up there. He rides a FCat. When he mentioned St. Mary's I asked him about Dave S. & he knew about him & his links page.

I never really met you (shook your hand) but one of the groups on the way up was myself, Mrs.D, sawman, tempest and Shelly. We left the Canyon about 6 or so, got in well after you, and we were followed by the Snowtrax guys ..... by about 1/2 hr.

Booby Q ..... funny :D

Rev ... gas was 1.60/L

There was a lot of new faces this weekend. Just the icing on the cake for a great ride, in a great place, on a great day.

The conditions don't look good in Cochrane. I think this pic was taken where the town loop goes east from TOP A.

That indeed was a DELUXE DAY! Nice to meet a great group of people that made it to Fraserdale. Dude of the day award goes to CrazyB for riding 94 miles back to Cochrane with NO brakes!! I'll leave it to him to tell ya about that. Got a good feature in the "can" for the first show of next season.
