Here is how our ride in Sandilands went last night. Thanks for all of you in southeastern manitoba for thinking the snow is gone, its nice riding virgin trails this late in the season. Just kidding but you guys don't know what your missing.

Trailered to the ranger station, took groomed trails and lots of little off trails. On the groomed trails there was no less than 5" of snow then an ice base. We even found two spots where we could play in about 3' of snow. there were some slush spots but that was just another place to play. Got to Rosies, it had all been cleaned up. No wood stove inside so we had a fire in the tub outside. We even had races down the hill. I lost so I had to buy when we got to Woody. There was no gravel anywhere we went, including the parking lot at woody. You could almost ride without your headlight as the half moon was so bright. The conditions last night were almost as good as in January.

Hey man, glad to hear. I would love to go riding right now, but i pretty much have to trailer my sled the 7 miles to town because it is like some one melted just MY trail to town. It is pure grass ditch and dirt in the fields. Once i would get to town, i think it would eb alright, its just to get there. I am going to try to haul my sled up to the duck MTN's this week, maybe thursday, and get some miles in, then i will have to park it for the year.

Heres to a great year of riding!

Well, we're going tomorrow during the day so I can take some pictures this time. It is supposed to get up to 8C so it should be a gorgeous day on the trails. I might even learn how to water skip. And maybe I'll get to take my brother in laws 99 zrt800 for the day as I think I'll be buying it.

Went out yesterday and put on 30 miles before I blew another crank bearing. This time the crankcase wasn't riddled with holes from the ball bearings. I guess I have a summer project.

Be glad it let go now and not at the beginning of the season. I was hoping to get out for one last ride but no dice. I even went right past sandilands this winter and never even stopped except for breakfast. Gotta get out more that way next winter.
