: Boating pics
idooski 04-16-2002, 02:43 PM Here's a pic of my current boat. I'll post some of my past boats, too. I doo a lot of fishing, so I chose a boat that would go fast enough for a rush, but was a totally functional tool for my hobby. (my other job)
idooski 04-16-2002, 02:47 PM Another thing we really enjoy is renting a houseboat with other couples in Tennessee on Dale Hollow Reservior in the spring.
idooski 04-16-2002, 02:53 PM Dale Hollow Sunset. Fish were just starting to bite good.
idooski 04-16-2002, 02:56 PM Another Dale Hollow Pic.
LadyK 04-16-2002, 02:57 PM Nice pics Idooski, Permafrost LOVES fishing, especially for monster muskies http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
idooski 04-16-2002, 03:06 PM I've have caught a few muskies in my day, but never a big one and I have never actually gone out to try and catch one. I'd like to though. May have to get together with permafrost to give it a try.
By the way, I think I remember something about a map to your place. Can I still get one? I'd like to see how far it is from Kalamazoo.
LadyK 04-16-2002, 06:39 PM I am still working on that Idooski. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
LadyK 04-16-2002, 06:54 PM How is this
idooski 04-16-2002, 07:15 PM That's great! Looks to only about 7 - 8 hrs away. No farther than some of the lakes I regularly go to for a tournament. I'll have to see what can be done about getting up there for some muskies. How's the smallmouth fishing over there?
LadyK 04-16-2002, 07:23 PM Permafrost knows some good smallie holes.I dont doo the fishing or the boating thing. I cant swim. I only drive on water on my sled frozen or not:D *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
idooski 04-16-2002, 07:41 PM You mean like this? I live for open water, winter or summer! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/exclamation.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
Snow Monkey 04-16-2002, 08:25 PM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Isn't Dale Hollow home to the world record smallie!(smallmouth bass)! Correct me if I am wrong!
LadyK 04-16-2002, 08:35 PM Thats the way to doo it Idooski. We are thinking of running the gade around on chandos lake a little bit this summer http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *I never have tried open water in the summer. Hey Idooski have you sunk before.I did in 01, bad entry and my belt got wet, and I was only on a 500, I did manage to shut her down before she went under tho. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
idooski 04-16-2002, 08:36 PM That's right Snow Monkey! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif *That's why I go there. I just love *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif *to fish for smallies. And if I'm going to drive 12 hours to get to a lake down south in the spring, why not go to the one that holds the world record, eh?
idooski 04-16-2002, 08:43 PM No...(knock on wood) I have never gone under. There have been guys in our group that have though. It's no fun for them when it's only 30'F outside. I did get a wet belt once though and had a close call, but I made it. There was about a 2' drop to the water off the bank.
I am downloading my camera now and I will post some other water skipping pics in another thread. There are several of us at this water hole.
LadyK 04-16-2002, 09:07 PM Here is the oonly pic I could find of me on my old 500 running water. I didnt sink on this day. I ran this chanel so many times the back of my suit was soaked from the rooster tail http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
revrnd 04-16-2002, 09:13 PM Lady K: One summer my ex-renter ran his MXZ 583 back & forth from the boat launch @ Chandos to the big beach & back. On the third trip he sank it. Mind you the water probably wasn't over the seat there. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/withstupid.gif
idooski 04-16-2002, 09:14 PM Great pic! Why don't you have a seat and relax? http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
LadyK 04-16-2002, 09:21 PM Just trying it sitting up somwhere i have a few shots of this day with permafrost and crazyb running it too.I tried it waving to the crowd too cant find the other pics.
Rev that is the route we plan. Early in the morning to wake all the cottagers on chandos http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif
revrnd 04-17-2002, 01:10 AM Let me know when you plan on 'dooing it http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Hopefully it isn't a weekend I'm working:-(( I'll drop over to see you guys & wish you a "bon voyage" http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I missed out on his trip. I think he was moving his sled from his friend's parents' farm to his own parents' place. When they drove by the lake, they just had to 'doo it. I don't remember how they got the sled back to the boat launch after he sank it.
If it wasn't for the cottages at the narrows into Gilmour Bay, that would be a neat spot to go thru. I don't think the cottagers would appreciate someone blasting thru there on a sled. When we go thru there on a Sea-doo or boat you have to go dead slow.
winterpark 04-18-2002, 08:03 PM check out this boat-
a little smaller than the rest, but still fun...
OneSki 04-20-2002, 12:32 AM Here's a picture of my wife's uncles' boat at Put-in-bay...we spend about every weekend on it in the summer..we also have a jet-ski Tigershark 1000...lot's of fun!!

Sled Dogg 04-20-2002, 04:02 PM IndyOneSki,
* * Do you go there often/ I grew up going there all the time on our sail bout. C dock still rocks like never before. Not the same with-out the old winery though. Christmas in July was always a blast also. Can't forget that old leaking water tower either.

Here is my boat.18 feet of shear pleasure http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
