Here's a pic of my current boat. I'll post some of my past boats, too. I doo a lot of fishing, so I chose a boat that would go fast enough for a rush, but was a totally functional tool for my hobby. (my other job)

Another thing we really enjoy is renting a houseboat with other couples in Tennessee on Dale Hollow Reservior in the spring.

I've have caught a few muskies in my day, but never a big one and I have never actually gone out to try and catch one. I'd like to though. May have to get together with permafrost to give it a try.

By the way, I think I remember something about a map to your place. Can I still get one? I'd like to see how far it is from Kalamazoo.

That's great! Looks to only about 7 - 8 hrs away. No farther than some of the lakes I regularly go to for a tournament. I'll have to see what can be done about getting up there for some muskies. How's the smallmouth fishing over there?

Permafrost knows some good smallie holes.I dont doo the fishing or the boating thing. I cant swim. No...(knock on wood) I have never gone under. There have been guys in our group that have though. It's no fun for them when it's only 30'F outside. I did get a wet belt once though and had a close call, but I made it. There was about a 2' drop to the water off the bank.

I am downloading my camera now and I will post some other water skipping pics in another thread. There are several of us at this water hole.

Lady K: One summer my ex-renter ran his MXZ 583 back & forth from the boat launch @ Chandos to the big beach & back. On the third trip he sank it. I think he was moving his sled from his friend's parents' farm to his own parents' place. When they drove by the lake, they just had to 'doo it. I don't remember how they got the sled back to the boat launch after he sank it.

If it wasn't for the cottages at the narrows into Gilmour Bay, that would be a neat spot to go thru. I don't think the cottagers would appreciate someone blasting thru there on a sled. When we go thru there on a Sea-doo or boat you have to go dead slow.

* * Do you go there often/ I grew up going there all the time on our sail bout. C dock still rocks like never before. Not the same with-out the old winery though. Christmas in July was always a blast also. Can't forget that old leaking water tower either.
