Any body every heard of a track slipping."I think it might be called racheting??"
When ever i would floor the sled,it would make a clicking type of sound. One of my riding partners thought the track wasn't hooking up.
Thanks for all replies

That is normally caused by the track being too loose. Adjust per the instructions in your manual.
If your track is ratcheting, then maybe your track is too loose, or the cogs on the drive shaft are worn. The later would be the case on a high miler sled. The other thing that could be the problem, maybe your chain is loose. Check the chain tension and see if it's tight. Good luck.

just tighten your track, a track will stretch out for the first year or 2, you just need to keep adjusting until its done stretching.

That was true in the old days, but I don't believe that happens any more. I have an '01, an '02, and two '03's sitting here and I have yet to keep re-adjusting until it quits stretching. Adjust after the first days ride and it should be good for the season. (that dosn't mean that you don't need to check it each time out)
