I didnt realize there was a racing section, so I`m re-posting here. Disregard if you`ve read this in General topics.
I recently bought an MXZ 700 for a good price. I was looking it over recently and noticed a few things: 1.The lugs on the track are ripped...not all of them, but alot of them (the track isnt studded) 2. There was alot of brake dust on the caliper and pads...it almost seems like alot of red dust from clay. 3. The sled had small numbers on it (#78 about 3" high) to match the license numbers...they were put on at the front of the sled on each side of the cowling, where the front grab bar comes around.
The sled seems in good condition, but could these be signs it was raced? Is there anything else I could look at? I`m thinking that anyone who would race would stud the track...wouldnt they? This sled is completely stock.
