: Direction Of Inline Fuel Filter '04 Pantera
oticoyote 04-02-2004, 07:58 PM Help guys. I took out my fuel filter on my brand new 550 LC Pantera and like an idiot I didn't pay much attention to which direction the "Flow" mark was pointing. The flow mark is pointing up in the attached picture. I think this is correct but I want to be certain.
Maybe someone with the same machine can take a look to be sure.
BTW, what happens if the filter is installed backwards?
Thanks.

The arrow is the direction of the fuel.
Just follow the fuel line from the tank.
Looks correct too me.

sledhed17 04-03-2004, 01:44 AM :withstupid: just fyi,,, make sure your pull start rope is not rubbing on any fuel, oil, electrical or coolant lines,,, which pretty much goes for any parts rubbing on any fluid or electrical, you don't want to wear a hole through any of those vital lines,,,
i'm not saying that i see that in your photo, it just reminded me of one of those areas on the sled that i always inspect,,,,,,,, :)
