I don't know Idooski! that's a great looking sled you have there, I'd hate to see it as a yellow submarine!!
You look like you have plenty of RPM's going ..... the guy on what appears to be on the mach on the right *looks to be sitting lower in the water, I think I'd *be squeezing it a little more,.... actually *I think I'd *better stay on the *shore, but it does look like fun! *Great Pic's.... DooZ
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 03:01 AM Ok, I've got a question for you guys. I've got some pictures to upload, but every time I try it tells me that the file was too big.
Wait, I may have thought of the answer. Are you using URLs?
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 03:03 AM Crossing twin pond (http://community.webshots.com/photo/32574773/32575076IwpSHQ)
No, this is just going to be a link.
Pics must be 100 kbits max and 500 pixel lenght max. So either resize or/and save as jpeg until they are less than 100 kbits *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 03:43 AM I'm having trouble getting this to work
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 03:45 AM Hey, it worked, I'll try again
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 03:47 AM This one might turn people off from running water
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 03:49 AM Polaris's don't float either!
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 03:52 AM Too Easy!
LadyK 04-17-2002, 10:33 AM I must say I have not seen too many cats or polari doo this. Some say cats dont like water. Sinking isnt a big deal you get wet and it costs you $$$$. Been there done that. Great pics http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *Is that you laughing at your bud.
LadyK 04-17-2002, 10:35 AM Here is me on my old 500. Didnt have a chance to take pics of my 700 on water.
NewfieBullet 04-17-2002, 11:08 AM No, it wasn't me, I was taking the picture.
That was so funny when he sunk his sled that time. I was running back and forth across the water, and kept telling them how easy it was Nevile didn't want to do it because he only had a 440. Then Darryl (the guy laughing) did it with his Panther, and I told Nevile that I was only hitting the water at 40mph, and that I could let off the gas halfway across.
Well, he got up his courage, and rode towards the water. Darryl and I were watching, thinking that he must be just going to check it out, because he was driving so SLOW, but he kept going straight. About half way across he started bobbing, and the rest is history.
No big deal though. He stood on the hood, tied a rope onto the skies, skipped across on an ice pan, and never ever got wet. We pulle dthe plugs, drained the card, and it started right up.
WINTERFREAK 04-17-2002, 11:25 AM NewfieBullet...you should let your buddie know
Cat's can't swim
Cool puddle jummping pix everyone. * http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Legolamb~ I think you crossed the line, the one mentionned in your signature *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
idooski 04-25-2002, 05:29 PM You guys get any good pics at that event you went to? Hope to see some soon.
02MXZ600 04-26-2002, 02:21 AM Holy Cow!!! *Some of you guys do some crazy things with your sleds. *I'm sure its fun.
What does lug height doo? does it slow the sled alot? I'm gonna try it this summer and I have a full lug 1.18" track, I just hope the water under the tunnel doesn't stall the track.
idooski 04-26-2002, 06:55 PM I was running an unstudded 1 1/4 this year as opposed to an .880 w/studs last year. The only diff I can see is it's easier to lift the skiis off the water with *the 1 1/4" and it throws a bigger roost. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
UPrider 05-07-2002, 09:37 AM Not a cool close up like everyone else's, but hey, what can I say, good help is hard to find, and my cameraman was underpaid. *This patch of water was about 75-100 yards long total.
paul yarek 05-07-2002, 08:30 PM that's better one at a time
skidoomaster 05-09-2002, 02:07 PM Hey Uprider-
Was that at Houghton Lake? *I remember crossing an open area a few years back durring Tip-up. *It looked just like that up against a break wall...
UPrider 05-10-2002, 12:34 AM Yep, you got it... It is where Denton Creek comes into the lake.. *good catch http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
ZRT600MtnCat 05-13-2002, 12:33 AM How do you do it? Does an 1.5 136 skip better or worse than other tracks? What if you have to turn? Do you really need a running start?
performancex 05-13-2002, 07:56 PM Steer the opposite way and lean. *You'll turn.
Here are a skipping pic from around here:
cannot add a file?
Water skipping are better with a deasent track (2")
because you can get a grip in the water and akselerate
At least my MM does well and even as stock it could
start two feet from the edge of the river running down the
stream. (bad english??)
you only need to bolt thight two holes in the front of the tunnel then you go good!!!
The best part with mountain sled`s are when you go real
slow and stand at the back of your sled it would lift it`s
skis in the air (running half trottle) and leave them there.
Then you can turn how mush you ever want only by leaning
the direction you want and enjoy!!!

ZRT600MtnCat 05-17-2002, 10:04 PM Cool, slightly difficult to read, thanks.

Yeah! *Badone! * you know i`m a Norwegian.......
What i ment was that The yammi`s have two holes
in the front of the tunnel, that need to be stuffed (Bolted)
Or otherwise the sled would be gone.....
(They are making the cluches wet......)!!!!!!!!!
permafrost 05-22-2002, 02:36 PM What kind of sled is that OVE. *Where are you from, fill in location , unless you are runnin from the POlice, lol http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif interpol?
It looks like an olympique , pretty daring we used to only run them,340cc) over straight stretches no more than 30 feet and they would start to bog. That guy looks like hes out in the middle of the lake *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif
looks more like a ELAN, that guy is nuts, i would never waterskip with that...
revrnd 05-24-2002, 11:05 AM That's got to be an Elan with something bigger under the hood * http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif Or a Elan hood on some other chassis. Don't forget that a few years back the hot sled in the watercross series was a Citation LS with a Plus motor installed. Anything can be done with enough money, time & beer (not necessarily in that order) http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
I am from Norway and the pic are from a watercross event
lastyear!!! Full mod Elan?
OOps Wrongone...............!
