i can get my hands on an 800 ho motor to drop into my 440 :thumbsup: but i'm not sure what i should offer the guy. motor has 0 miles on it (so he says :confused:). comes with clutches all electrical, carbs, and pipe. the guy told me to make him an offer but i'm not sure what it's worth so i dont want to low ball him too bad. i figure around $2000 to start. is this a good place to start or am i too high??

Offer him 1700.00, maybe he will go up to 2K.

I would think that you're in the range. Is it a new motor or a rebuild?

Being what it is, he'd have no trouble selling it for 2g or more...so if you can grab it up for 2g's, then pick up for sure...

It's worth about $2600-$2800 if it's complete with carbs, MPEM, pipe/can, airbox, and recoil.

Now add another $200 for the primary and another $200 for the secondary for a total of $3000+

2gs is a steal. Sign me up if change your mind.

There was another auction at the old Don Coffey Store in Cookstown a couple weeks ago. An 01 (I think) 800 motor went for about 450 bucks..... brand new in the box.

You need the 800MPEM and Volt. Reg.
I put in the body harness too just to make it easier to hook everything up.
Make sure you get a larger heat exchanger too from a 121".

will the 440 cooler not cut it?? how hard is it to install a bigger cooler?? rev baron, u got an e-mail i got ask you some questions at??
